Un autre point de vue

In the words of Truman Capote, "I love New York, even though it isn't mine, the way something has to be, a tree or a street or a house, something, anyway, that belongs to me because I belong to it," I, in a similar fashion, fell a little more in love with Brisbane after seeing it from above.

There's a quote that goes something like, like a man who has been dying for many days, a man in your city is numb to the stench. Morbid, I know, but very applicable here. I used to complain about how boring Brisbane was, having lived here most of my life - I still do actually - but once you're presented with a fresh perspective through noticing the finer details of the city you live in - how we're slower paced than the other cities, how the city is our hub for everything, you'll begin to actually understand why for instance we were chosen for the G20 Summit and the reasons why we've received Lonely Planet's seal of HIP-proval (hehehehehe). *breathe* that was a super long sentence.

View from the first roof top.

I can't quite put my finger on the location of the second roof top but it required climbing a caged ladder from what I thought was the roof top, to what actually was the roof top. We were up there for quite a while and the clouds were dark and heavy because it was about to storm.

Spotted: the Wheel of Brisbane!

The last photo we took before it started to sprinkle and we had to leave.

Have a lovely week y'all and I shall see you in my next post!

Love, Sarah x.

Tout depuis le début

I used to blog religiously, I don't know why I stopped. I'm not restarting this blog because I realised I have so much to offer the blogging community, but because I genuinely need to. Blogging used to be my way of sitting down and reflecting about what happened in my day, week or month but I find myself just letting all these memories fly past me while I try and focus on the two main factors of my life: work and uni. Restarting this blog might just be an excuse to do more things so I can blog about them, but there's nothing wrong with putting yourself out there with an extra push. I sincerely hope I can keep this up so watch this space!

Sarah.
