Aventures alimentaires: Cindius Nargles

I don't know if it was because we were catching up in an American steakhouse (PJ's) which was what set the context but Cindy and I spent quite a few hours talking about all things American whilst dining on philly cheesesteaks, root beer and sweet potato fries with a NY Yankees flag watching over us. I haven't seen this girl in over a month because I've been working and studying like a crazy person and our schedules are always conflicting. What a ridiculous excuse. Anyway, as I was scrolling through my instagram feed one train ride home from uni, I found a quote that kind of just pulled some heart strings:
We are very good a preparing to live, but not very good at living. We know how to sacrifice ten years for a diploma, and we are willing to work very hard to get a job, a car, a house, and so on. But we have difficulty remembering that we are alive in the present moment, the only moment there is for us to be alive.
Anyway, this just made me think that little bit harder about how wisely I was investing my time, and in what. I'd expand more about this but it's currently 12:43am and I have class till 8pm in the morning so I'll just leave it at that. After PJ's, we went to Three Monkeys to have some NY cheesecake (it only just dawned on me the coincidence) and hot cocoa. There's just no other way to spend a chilly night in Brisbane. :)

Riya actually introduced me to the amazingness that is this New York cheesecake when we went there after debating last week. Although I've been here a few times before, this was the first time trying their cake. Hands down the most delicious baked goodness, ever.

Hope y'all have had a lovely week. Friday is the law ball and I am super duper excited for it!
Anyway, thanks for reading and have a great weekend (don't forget Mother's Day!).

Love, Sarah x.
